Mid-Coast Regional Planning Commission (MCRPC) Executive Board has determined it is necessary to dissolve the corporation.

As of September 30, 2019 ten municipalities and one county were dues paying members in good standing;  Knox County, Camden, Friendship, North Haven, Owls Head, Rockport, St. George, South Thomaston, Thomaston, Union and Vinalhaven.

On October 7, 2019, The Executive Board adopted a resolution to dissolve the corporation and will submit the resolution to the members for a vote.  A meeting of the membership, to consider the resolution, will be held on November 14, 2019 at 1PM in the Knox County Regional Airport Conference room.  If you plan to attend the meeting, please provide the name of your representative to:

Post Office Mailing address is: 23 Terminal Ln, Owls Head, ME 04854

MCRPC has some planning documents, administrative equipment and historical files that, with the concurrence of the members, will be turned over to the Mid-Coast Economic Development District (MCEDD).   The Executive Board does not expect any remaining assets once they settle all debts, liabilities and obligations of the corporation (including costs for storage and movement of documents, to be provided to MCEDD).  It is anticipated MCEDD (207-443-5790) will provide land-use and transportation planning services for Knox County municipalities.

Until the “Dissolution” process is complete, the members in good standing as of September 30, 2019 will remain voting members of the Commission and the Executive Board.
